Zanzibar’s waters are home to a variety of fish species:

• Billfish: Blue, Black, and Striped Marlin; Sailfish; Shortbill Spearfish.

• Big Game Fish: Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Kingfish (Giant Trevally), Dorado (Mahi-Mahi), Barracuda.

• Smaller Game Fish: Bonito Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Rainbow Runner.

These species are abundant throughout the year, with peak seasons for specific fish types:
